14 May 2002 eCentric Switch launched their web site publicly and their FlightDeck to selected business partners and customers. 7 May 2002 Minister Matsepe Casaburri stated in her budget speech in parliament today, how the Citizen Post Office is crucial in her plans to deliver services to the country's disadvantaged communities. The CPO is situated in established Post Offices and offers e-mail, internet, Microsoft Office, Government Forms as well as printing, faxing and photocopying facilities to the communities on a pay-before-you-use basis. The CPO runs on Microsoft Thin Client technology and includes an eCentric Switch payment server utilizing fingerprint biometric technology.
