eCentric Switch embarks on System Upgrade with Business Connexion
eCentric Switch has selected Business Connexion as its technology partner going forward.
The first phase of the plan has been completed with the replacement of the long serving Corollary VAS Switch at the primary site with an HP ML370 system with 960Gb of raided disk. This system runs Microsoft Windows 2003 and SQL 2005 and is running Airtime, Bill Payments, Social Grants, Money Transfers and ReconAssist applications under VMWare.
The second phase of the programs includes the installation of a dual HP DL385 system coupled to an HP MSA1500 SAN storage sub-system with 2,7Tb of raided disk at the primary site and the migration of the applications from the HP ML370 to the HP DL385?s. This implementation is scheduled for completion by early December 2006.
The third phase of the upgrade will be the installation of HP ML370 at our back-up site in Gardens, where it will replace the current back up systems which in turn will be redeployed as part of our test and UAT infrastructure. This will be completed by the end of January 2007.
Business Connexion has proved to be responsive, innovative and flexible in supplying systems and service that fits the requirements of a growing business like eCentric.
